Fees

Core hours (9:00am – 3:15pm)

£5.80 per hour for non- funded children.

£5.20 per hour for funded children.

For extended hours (funding cannot be used):

£6.25 8:00am – 9:00am
£5.25 3:15pm – 4:00pm
£11.50 3:15pm – 5.00pm

One- off sessions will incur an additional cost on top of the session charge:

£2.00 8.00 – 9.00am

£1.00 3.15 – 4.00pm

£2.00 3.15 – 5.00pm

 

For holiday club (funding cannot be used)

£45 per day 9:00am – 4:00pm

Government help with the cost of childcare

Tax-free childcare

First step preschool ltd  is an approved childcare provider. Parents will need to open a childcare account with the Government and for every £8 a parent pays into the childcare account, the government will pay in an extra £2. https://www.gov.uk/tax-free-childcare

 

2 year old free childcare

Some families are eligible for 15 hours of free childcare for 2 year old children.

3 and 4 year olds

15 hours free childcare
All 3 and 4 year olds in England get 15 hours a week (570 hours a year) of free childcare. We send you the forms and apply for the initial 15 hours funding on your behalf.
30 hours free childcare
Some families of 3 and 4 year olds may be entitled to 30 hours of free childcare. Parents/carers need to apply for and manage the additional 15 hours free childcare.

Extended sessions and holiday club

Government free childcare cannot be used for these sessions and they need to be paid for separately.
